GENERAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

·         Municipal Testing has been engaged in quality control/quality assurance, materials testing, special inspections and heavy construction inspection and testing for over 40 years.  We are one of the 'oldest' original firms in our industry.  Experience counts!

·         Municipal Testing is one of the few testing agencies/laboratories who is accredited to ASTM E329, (Specification for Agencies Testing or Inspecting Construction), in addition to being accredited to C1077 (Concrete), D3666 (Roads/Paving) and D3740 (Soils).  We are inspected by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and the Asphalt Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL), of the National Institute of Standards and Technology; and participate in both the CCRL and AMRL proficiency sample programs to control our lab quality.  We are approved by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for testing of highway magterials (9.3) and soil exploration and materials testing (9).

·         Municipal Testing is licensed as a 'Testing Laboratory' (New York) and as an 'Engineering Company' (Florida).  We maintain expertise in all building code jurisdictions (BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI, UBC, ICC) and offer our services nationally and internationally.

·         Our inspectors are qualified as 'Special Inspectors', to the building codes, and in addition have certifications from the: The National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), The American Concrete Institute (ACI), The American Welding Society (AWS), The American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).  Quality people are the key to quality inspections and testing.
