     MUNICIPAL TESTING LABORATORY was established in 1960 to provide construction inspection and testing services to owners, architects, engineers, public agencies, construction managers and contractors.

     With offices in Hicksville, New York; Miami, Florida; and affiliates in Virginia and Grand Cayman, our service area includes the entire east coast and the Caribbean region.

     MUNICIPAL TESTING LABORATORY makes the utmost effort to provide high quality, professional and dependent services to its clients.

     To that end, we are accredited by AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials); inspected by the CEMENT AND CONCRETE REFERENCE LABORATORY of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (formerly the National Bureau of Standards); and participate in the CCRL and AMRL (AASHTO) proficiency sample programs.

     We are licensed by the State of Florida, and the City of New York, and approved by all the jurisdictions in which we offer our services.

     Our employees are certified by: The American Concrete Institute (ACI), The American Welding Society (AWS), The American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), The National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), and The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), as applicable to their required inspection skills. No other laboratory presently has as large a force of ACI, AWS, NICET and ASNT Certified Inspectors as we do.

     MUNICIPAL TESTING LABORATORY uses its own quality control manuals, which establish uniform inspection and testing techniques, to assure consistent, reliable results.

     To train our personnel and maintain our standards, we have in-house dedicated areas and programs. The programs include those leading to certificates by ACI, NICET, ASNT, FDOT, and NYSDOT, as well as general interest programs. The training is offered to other interested parties on a contract basis.
